I was very very bored today, and i noticed i had an old geforce 4 with a passive heatsink, and then i saw the stock fansink from my 9550 sitting near it. I could not resist myself. :o
The geforce had a fan power plug in on it, so i plugged the fansink in their (of course)
But now when i try to boot up with the card in, i get a long beep, then 2 short beeps and the monitor does not initialize. The mobo has a Phoenix bios chip
I have reached in interesting development, when i dont lock the agp card down with the plastic clip, i get no beep codes and the monitor initializes and windows boots
Its about 1/10 mm away from the slot where the plastic clip is, when it is not clipped down.
Cleaned the AGP card pins with rubbing alchohol and qtips, now its working fine locked down.
