Specs:
AMD Opteron 146 CABYE 3ghz 1.45v. DFI LanParty UT NF4 Ultra-D. Corsair XMS 2x 1gb @ 250mhz 3-3-2-8 2.7v Twinx2048-3500LLPRO. ATI X1800XT 512mb. 2x WD 74gb Raptors RAID 0. Lian Li PC-65B. Creative Labs Audigy LS. OCZ PowerStream 520w.

Mods:
Drilled two side and one rear 80mm blowhole. Cut 3.5" drive cage down. Ghosted DVD & DVD-RW drives. Changed HDD LED to blue. Drilled 2" hole to route PSU wires and other wires behind the motherboard tray. Removed front USB panel for sake of less wires. Constantly keeping all the wires as clean as possible.

It's fast, it's beautiful, and I love it. Hardware wise she'll be staying this way atleast until Windows Vista comes out. with myself having to pay for part of my car and everything else associated with it.

I like the fact that you have an Opteron in there. Interesting...
Your case wiring is really neat and clean. Good job at hiding all those freaking wires lol

I love the butchered Cicero under your desk there :p, also I was wondering how that opteron performs i was thinking of buying the exact same one, how do they do in games mostly is what I need to know cuz thats basically what I do, also does it over clock well and stay cool or do you need a really good cooler?

i haven't seen many systems that run on the opteron processor, i always thought that it was designed for use in servers. but oh well. your system looks really well put together your skills of hiding those pesky power wires shows itself really well in your case. how well does it game with that processor? other than my questions, you have done a really good job. Well Done

Gaming is awesome. I'm able to run everything max settings. If you can get your hands on a CABYE still I'd go for it. I'd probably be able to get 3.1-3.2ghz if I knew my way around memory better. You don't need amazing cooling but it wouldn't be a bad idea. It idles around 25º and load is between 38º-46º. (Depending on how long it's at 100% load.) Although this is with an XP-90C, 92mm Tornado, and two 80mm Smart Fans blowing on the thing.

every time i look at this system, i feel like clapping. the way that things have been put together and all just makes me so glad that some people have a sense of aesthetics. how much did you drop on the internals( the hd's,video card, motherboard, etc)

just beautiful

Thanks man. Heh, too much. Graphics card was $700 when I got it but I paid $580 for it. Reason being is that I was going to get a Sapphire for $580 but my dad saw a true ATI for $700 and offered to pay the difference so I couldn't pass that up. The Opty was $189, the Corsair was $315, the Ultra-D was $135. I got one Raptor like a year ago or more for $150, and I got the second one a few months ago for about the same price I think. The PowerStream was about $115 I think. It's hard to remember all the prices, I bought most of the stuff over time. Not all at once.

I need to update this though, I've been running 1.45v and 2.5 cas latency for awhile. Load temps on the CPU don't exceed 38ºC now and it idles between 21º and 23º.

Very nice! Deserves a 10. The case mods are subtle and classy. I think the ghost drive is a great idea! I must say I have a "thing" for stealthy black cases though... Combined with good hardware/clean looks, one word: SOLID!
