Okay, so I'm still waiting for my accound to activate on the XS forums. But before I get started there...I'd like to have everyone report in on which X1800XL they have (ie. Built by ATI, Sapphire...etc.), and the maximum voltage and speed in ATI tools that is fully stable in games (say 2hours+). I have said in a few other posts that my card @1.175v will lock up randomly even with low clocks. I do know that this is aprox 12%, but actual voltage may be lower on the board, so it is possible that some makers are putting a limit...say +/-10% and VPU recover. (I have heard at least one other person with a voltage limit of 1.175 on BBATI like me).

Also, please include what chipset is on your motherboard. Please don't includ X1800XT since I have not yet heard similar problem on those cards. (the XT cards have known to suffer some memory problems but are in general overclocking really well)

I have a BBATI X1800XL:

Core = 621(max 630)
Mem = 666(max 693)
vCore = 1.150
vMem=2.1
vMemIO=2.0
Mobo= DFI RDX-200 CF-DR

X1800xl BBATI
maxed @ 610/585
Volts 1.175, 1.965, 1.965
3dm05 7128
Stock cooling
485W enermax psu

I think the volts are real limiting here, I tried to go to 620core and it froze in 3dm05, checked log and last recorded temp was 61. And of course if I go higher volts it also freezes. My sys runs stable at 585/585 with these volts, can play COD2 for hours, played a couple of hours ocd this morn. Sometimes if I go a bit higher my scores seem to drop a few points, I mean @585 Iam getting a 7100 score and @610/585 I get 7128??? Maybe psu??? My sys is not loaded I have six empty pci slots.

Okay...just waiting for more ppl to post their results...your BBATI seems to have maxed out at 1.175 volts too? I know a lot of ppl are doing 1.2+ on stock cooling and getting higher clocks than my card on water...but they might not be using BBATI.

I will make a quick excel sheet to track everything...so ppl please contribute...I have a feeling that BBATI cards might need a bios flash...thinking of going to sapphire bios.

yeah Ive seen people with sapphire get higher clocks. Checked their sys specs. Same voltages as us.

I now have one person on the XS forums that uses the BBATI with the same problem. 1.15v, no higher...can't break 600 on core.
