Can the BIOS be replaced from different OEM supplier?

I have a card OEMed by Palit, and can I update the card with the BIOS form other OEM supplier?

If the PCB is with referent design you can use every OEM BIOS. I alawys prefer to use ATI BIOSes on every card that I have.

the point is that I check the PCB layout between Palit and other cards such as sapphire, they are different layout. Is there reference to know if the board is with refrent design?
