The new Crossfire chip from ATI formerly known as RD580 has a name: Crossfire Xpress 3200. The number seems to be derived from the 32 PCIe lanes the chip uses, giving each graphic card the usual 16 lanes. It should be launched along side the X1900XTX on the 24th of January. The new Crossfire Xpress 3200 boards will use either the SB450 Southbridge chip from ATI or the ULI 1575 chip, even though ULI is now owned by NVIDIA.
