5 is creative and original. I'll give it that amount of credit. I find it rather boring though. The circles and balls may be less orginal, but I find them more pleasing to the eye and suitable for this application. Out of all the ones which have at least 10 votes I would like to see 16 win though.

If this hasn't been said before, the shadowing on 4 and 7 wouldn't really work due to transparency issues, but they stand on thier own without it. I pasted some into the current dialog. I'm still on the fence, but leaning towards 8. Here's examples:

On mine #6, I went by the old'er logo. Knowing a little about pleasing clients is a specialty of mine.
I could have gone with bubbles or a plastic buttons look. But what if the client doesn't want what everyone else has? Plus, the logo I made, is 100% Vector, if that counts for anything.(Can be sized at any level without loosing appearances) :D

I know what u mean. The trick is finding the balance...a logo u and the client like.

I wouldn't say that everyone here is cheating/manipulating the Poll, who is better than #3 but i have watched the vote for a long time. Always when #3 gets a vote #1 gets on or two, too.

So he have always exactly just as much as #3 or 1 more. Another mysterious Thing, when #3 gets no vote on da Day #1 gets no one, too. Or he gets very less votes (~2 a Day).

When the Logo number 3 gehts 10 a Day, #1 gets 11 on the same Day..

I saw it from about 45-50 votes... select said it in his post 1 or 2 pages before.

When #3 got a vote, #1 got within 1-2 Minutes a vote, sometimes few seconds after #3 got a vote. But when #3 got no votes for maybe one or two hours or more, #1 also got no vote. Then #3 got a vote, same thing, #1 got a vote within few minutes. Thats not normal and 4-5 times it got a vote within a few seconds after #3 !! :wtf:

I must be frank in saying that some of ideas that didn't get through were much better than some of the final sixteen.


I would hope W1zzard exercises veto power and chooses the idea or ideas he thinks is best.

The winner of the "voters" ( I use that word loosely) contest should get the prize, and the winner of W1zzard's choosing should get the honor of being displayed on his software.

Unfortunately, this forum is not a model of democracy- or even good sense in some cases. Those who stuffed the ballot box should be, er, um- "disappointed" with themsleves, insofar as they did not believe their contributions were strong enough to stand on their own merit, that they had to cheat for votes.

Recall election :laugh: ! Maybe the U.N. should monitor the polling place to make sure there is no voter fraud. I think the prizes turned out to be a mixed blessing. Not many people were very interested in even contributing to the design of a new logo untill the oppurtunity for prizes began. I and a few others were working on it for no reward, and I for one would have been happy to continue along that route. I think the prizes may have, unfortunatly, corrupted the honesty of this process. A sad and unforseeable occurance. I had been hoping it would only result in an influx of fresh ideas :( .

Very nice wizz. 55 -> 100 in a few days.. hmm.. but only 1/3 of them have even posted once. only 55 of them are even older than a week.. long time readers or spam?

I think theres something very akward with it, considering every other bar is pretty consistant throughout all of the graphs. Especially the white bar (#3 right?), purple (5) and the blue bar (16). They remain high, especially when under the more strict filters.

I think there has been a lot of spammage of votes from people that dont post at all. I guess it is expected with a front page poll, but the sudden burst should be somewhat evenly distributed, rather than a large jump, especially when "which is better" is close.

Which leads to the conclusion those votes had to have had outside influence.

I think since the poles have been corrupted and a revote, could result in the same occurence no one should win the prize. No one deserves a prize for cheating, and as long as there is any doubt I feel no prize should be given. W1zzard should choose a logo he likes, if any, and save the prize for a less cutthroat and easily manipulated contest. Perhaps another case gallery contest, the last one turned out quite well?

My personal favourite and the logo which will appear in ATITool is #11 (by Eljay). The main reason I picked it is because it communicates something and is more than just a nice font.

One of the first tasks a newbie web programmer solves is how to count only unique visits of his site.The fact that you`re not capable to emplement this very simple code does not excuse the disqualifying of the real winner. Even if we accept that you don`t have the skils to do that (which is rediculous if you start such a web based contest) why didn`t you just parsed out the repeating IPs and count them only once?

I must say that i'm very impressed with the Intel speedstep feature of systool w1zzard, It's the only program that allows me to use the x15 multi... Not even Asus's software will allow me to do this!!

I'm oinly just starting to learn Visual Basic, but wanna move on to C++ soon perhaps. What programs are best for learning C++?

as development environment i can only recommend microsoft visual studio 2003 or 2005 for serious work. a must-have add-in for these is visual assist (google it), i'm usually refusing to code on systems without visual assist :D
