Can anyone confirm x1800xt works with x1900 crossfire edition?

There's gotta be someone here with a x1800xt and a x1900 master card will they work together? Seems like the x1800 master card isnt around to buy now so im asking.

Well the x1900 crossfire should be compatible with like the x1800xt because like a x850 crossfire master card can be used to run like a x850pro in crossfire it just makes both cards only run at 12 pixels. Im wondering if its possible to use a x1800xt with x1900 card i wouldnt mind because it would be the same if the card clocked to the x1800xt spec same as x1800cf if it worked.

I just tested in our labs and this configuration works:
X1900XT Master using a X1800XT Slave using 'unnamed' CrossFire motherboard and driver. Able to run 3DMark2005.

I could not get this to work however:
X1800XT Master using a X1900XTX Slave using 'unnamed' CrossFire motherboard and driver.

i would rather buy a x1900 master card than a x1800 master card , thx thats some great info! All i needed to hear, newegg.com only has like x1900 master cards and Why the unnamed drivers and motherboard this some sort of nda bs? lol

Update:

When I did performance testing, it seems that it is only using the X1900XT Master card (Because I get the same scores without the X1800XT Slave plugged in). I used 3DMark2005 to test it and there was NO performance increase.

What's weird is that the driver says CrossFire is enabled. Seems like some sort of driver issue.

My colleague has tried the X1900 CrossFire Edition with X1800 XT and it's not work!
Catalyst 6.1 cannot show the CrossFire enable screen.

in theory i woudlnt see why it wouldnt. its all based on the same arcitecture.. corect me plz if im wrong but the 1900's main difference is the 3x pixl shaders per pipe... but that may be it, because enabling/ disabling 2 of them would not be possible to cope with the x1800xt...

it is still on the market there is one here.. not much good if they cant ship to u but it does kinda suggest they are still out there.

Anybody tested X1900CF + X1800XT with Cat 6.2? Maybe it works, and I'm going to buy a CF card but I can't find a X1800 in Newegg (I live in Argentina and the reseller here only works with Newegg).
