I have been noticing a trend in many corporations lately to support ATI. First nintendo with the gamecube, now the nintendo revolution and microsoft xbox 2 (or xenon). As PC game development is approaching the point where it is identical to console dev, (ex XNA) Maybe ATI has realized that if they can can capture the console market with their GPU's and maybe influence game dev, that eventually this trend will start to make its way into pc game development as more and more dev teams get rotated between different platforms, bringing their knowledge and familiarity with ATI technology to every gameng platform. With companies like EA swapping their dev teams as soon as they finish their contribution to a game, an ATI monopoly could be in the future.
Also i think once a year there should be a contest here where everyone agrees to reach an insanely crazy goal, and whoever does it first gets a prize. (Prize doesnt have to be much, but some people need incentive to add that extra voltage!)
200 posts BTW (one out of every 20 posts is mine!)
