1800XL artifact scanning question

With a PCI-Ex 1800XL should I have to use the Old scanning method for artifacts? I get them non stop using the default settings in 0.25 Beta 12, but not at all with the Old method.

This is at default clock speeds.

Artifact scanning doesn't work in ATiTool yet with x1800/9000 yet.
Old method works better but still gives errors.
