Propably a stupid question, but why is my Club x1800 XT 512 running 3dmark05 on 600/700 (2D?) clocks? I have CCC installed and it show current clocks 594/693 and requested 625/750. When I run 3dmark05 after the test it show that the cards clocks were the 600/600 and not the real 625/750 ones? Ati hotkey poller is enabled. Sorry for my bad english.

If the card gets too hot the CCC lowers the card to default clocks. If you want to run 3dm05 at the oc'd speeds, you will have to turn off overdrive on the CCC.

The CCC in 3D mode does not reduce clk speed if it gets hot , it increases the fan, but only upto 37% or so, on a 1800xt. If you are useing the ATItool then you will always have the 600/700 speed at 3d. This is for the XT, and i think the 1900s too. You have to use the ATItool OC to get the speed adjusted. But it will also ramp up your 2d at the same time. Since they are one in the same after you install the Tool. Some tweaks/turning off the ATi services( atihotpoler?) may change this behaviour? I cant be bothered. For me either it works on install or its out.
