How about plotting the current fan speed along with GPU temp. It could be useful for determining its speed at a glance, and show the variable nature is operating correctly whilst running the 3D view, etc.

Other than that, could it be possible to send the fan % value to mbm. I'm thinking it could be configured as a 'custom' fan, and, in addition, possibly sent to webtemp to be plotted (nice way of checking fan speed is increasing appropriately with GPU temp).

yeah after reorganization i had so much space left and added the graph .. but what should i put there if there's no graph?

My Clockrates was Rockstable for over 3 Month on 568MHZ MEM !!
Now Artifact Scan gives me Errors at 557Mhz Mem clock !! Thats 10Mhz earlier !! Cannot be true im 100% sure!!
Older vers 0.23b4-5 of AtiTool gives me exactlay my corrcet 568Mhz stable what i found out in Weeks (Mother Nature Loops over Night...Doom3, AtiTrayTool)...!!
GPU clock is also wrong for 10Mhz or so !!! :(

Wizzard, i think Artifact Scan with X800 Cards will give now Artifacts to early! Must something wrong with Detection or somewhat!
First AtiTool goes up to high, now its to low... :confused:

no...you must go a long way to use it again!!

Must select under 3d detection a 3d profile and a Profile after an before...and under startup your normal 2d Profile...simple 2d Profile Setting is better i think so ;)

iirc we came to no conclusion about whether your card is a 9700 or 9600 type card .. based on the device id you gave it's a 9600

I'm using the latest drivers from ATI (the same as you, I think - the beta). Artifact detection is as before - goes too high for both core clock and RAM. Core went beyond 600 Mhz when I stopped it, and ATITool shows 563 Mhz RAM stable, whereas I get bad artifacts (flashing textures and triangles) in 3dmark 03 and 05, and in Doom 3.

wizzard....im still getting 100% cpu usage with HWM....and my voltages are at 255 still and RPM's on fan speed are still 255 as well.....what info do you need from me to help you out in fixing this....just let me know and ill check back later today and let you know.

can be your clockspeed ,that was instable before and you didn't noticed before.

But i dont think so! My max stable clock was Rockstable tested out over weeks with MotherNature over NightLoops for GPU ,Ragtroll test for Mem..also all Apps ;Games(Doom3..) are stable with this Clock!
Also this ClockSpeeds exists and works so far as like as before....its only a question of Artifact Scan vers 0.23b6 with my x800 Card! Shows me that only Artifact Scan is wrong..not my Card ;)

I think the Prob for this massiv drop of max clockspeeds can be the "AI Feature" of
Cat 8.07- 4.11b ! Maybe it causes in Errors with Artifact Scan and AtiTool interpret
the Errors as instable Clock or somewhat!

With AtiTool 0.22final and Cat 4.9 i get the same max stable Clock with Artifact Scan as ever before with my Mem Clockrate of 568Mhz stable!

Im not sure if its only the wrong Scanning with 0.23b6 "and or" wrong with cat 8.07..
But i get Artifacts on both Cats with 0.23b6, where on 0.22 are 100% no Artifacts!
Must be somwthing fault with 0.23b6 Scanning on my x800....

OK..i made several Tets ,so i can say for sure..AtiTool 0.23b6 ArtifactScan is wrong!
Gives me Artifacts where are no Errors with older Versions and all other Apps..
I use the Cat 4.11b with no Probs on 0.22. So it seems not to be a Driver Error .

With vers 0.22 the Artifact Scan is working fine..as fine as before! max 568Mhz Mem with absolutly no Artifacts and Errors..

There must somewhat wrong with Artifact Detection on X800 Cards..older Vers are working better

I don't think so, I've been using Atitool since version 0.0.18 and I know exactly what my stable clocks are.
However, in the latest releases (more so with this new beta), I've seen a steady decline in my max core clock, which I thought was normal because W1zzard improves the artifact detection from one release to the other. And if I would roll back to the previous version of Atitool, I would get the old max core clock again.
What caught my attention this time is that I got over 10 MHz less with this new release, when in the past I had only seen some a 0.5-1 MHz change when switching from one version to the next.

why have a logo? whenever it displays a useful graph as to the temps of the card?? I just dont know why you would want to just add a picture...to something that displays important information.

So far I have tried just the 'Find Max Core'.
It ups to about 533, which is about the same as previous versions, when the box turns completely yellow. Detects artifacts and starts back down. I can visually see less and less artifacts on each step, but eventually it will lock. I tried to get a fix on a step that it locks on but it seems to be random. The lowest lock so far is 528 which is a little above my max core of 525 from beta5.

15warlock...thats what i say....0.23b6 gives me wrong clock too...I know my max stable clock 100% ...
0.23b6 is wrong over 15Mhz..gives Artifacts where are 100% no Artifacts with all older AtiTool vers and all other Apps....

Set to use 3d detection, but on starting the PC it loads the OC profile, not the default, and when exiting 3d it does not reload default as set to.
