Hi Guys ~
I have just built a new rig around this mobo + Opteron 148 + Sapphire ATI 1900XT and I would appreciate any advice regarding something rather odd .
So far I am just running everything at default settings ~ Bios 703
Probe II showing Vcore 1.4 Temps ~ Cpu @ 35 , MB @ 35 idle .
Now I know that the ATI 1900XT's run rather hot with most owners reporting 45-50 idle 75-90 load depending on personal variables .
Running stock with the fans controled by the Omega 6.1's however ATI Tool 0.25 Beta13 is showing mine as ~
Min 64 Max 89 Ave 66.8
ATI Control Panel also confirms the Min idle temp as 64
Appologies for this dimbo question however I take it most peeps when refering to the idle temp of their cards are refering to GPU and Not GPU environment reading ( which is 47 idle btw)
I have only been running 3D games for approx an hour without any problem so far with the GFX card fan ramping up at around 80 deg's
What makes this even more confusing, as I am still building the rig , both side panels are still off my CoolerMaster , I couldn't state the room ambient other than 'not that warm'.
Is this anything to do with any bios settings or the mobo providing a dodgy min temp reading for the GFX card or should I consider RMA ing the X1900XT as its kinda bugging me ?
Thanks and Kudos to Wiz :)
