um for a good balenced card you want your ram speed roughly the same as core speed. ex 500/500(1000) 256bit core/256bit memory 16 pipelines. pretty much anything that meets that will play any new games.

i guess i should reword my question:slap:
what meant was what do u guys aim for when your overclocking wich do try to get the most speed out of your memory or your gpu?

You want to go for a higher memory speed. Clock for clock, a higher memory speed contributes to more performance than a higher core speed. But it really depends on your card. If you have one of those Golden Sample GT cards with the 1.0ns memory, then you'd want to overclock the core more, since the memory bandwidth isn't anywhere near being flooded.
