Hi,
I got this Connect 3D X800 GTO graphics card but it won't mod to 16pipes:( . I wonder if I can still change bios to this card. It handles X800 XT PE clocks nicely and no artifacts. So can I mod this usual way even it doesn't get those extra pipes?
Thanks for any help!! :respect:

It shouldn't do, many people have tried flashing a 16 pipe bios on a card with bad fuse data. The card will then show up as whatever the bios is from, and provided the core is supported by the bios it should work fine.
The alternative is to modify the original bios to have higher clock speeds, and to be recognised in windows as whatever you want. Instead of calling it an 'ati x800xt' for example, you could call it fred :D
There's a thread specifically for x800/x850 bios modding that you should check out, rikuete. ;)

Yep... Thanks for information... I'm going to change name to X800 XT PE and change also those clocks... Lets hope I can make it:p
What are your fuses and device ID? You always can flash X8x0XT PE BIOS and the result will be 12 pipe XT PE. What exactly X800 or X850 will depend on the device ID.
