I am not using this version, as it has 2 major flaws that I can see:
1) It doesn't scan for artefacts (well-known, yes - but still a serious flaw - I imagine that's being worked on for Beta 14)
and
2) my system freezes EVERY TIME (sooner or later) at the point of clicking the settings button - this after both an update install from 0.24 (after uninstalling 0.24 and rebooting first, of course), and the second after a clean reinstallation of the OS, and an ORIGINAL install of 0.25 b13 - in other words, it's a systematic and reproducible fault with my system (Athlon 64-bit 939 3200+ CPU, Gigabyte GA-K8NS Ultra-939 mobo, 1 GB PC3200 DDR RAM - in 1 stick. My graphix card is a Radeon X850XT AGP)

- so I've gone back to 0.24, and I'm staying there for now - I will image my OS and might successively work my way backwards through the 0.25 betas until I hit one that sticks, but that's for aonther day ....

yeah, thats why they call it "ATItool .25 beta 13", because you have bugs :p . I dont know what is causing ATItool to mess up on your computer, but...wizzard will fix it :D

ATI 0.24 is the last stable version. If 0.24 doesn't have the support that you need though, you can role back to some of the older betas. Some of them are pretty stable.

Thanks, Thermopylae, that's helpful - I kinda guessed that 0.24 was the "anchor point" - but, as I said, I may try one or two of the subsequent betas

Yeeeaaaah ... cheers Zekrahminator .... and this is called a bug report forum - that's why I was submitting a bug report :-). I trust Wizzard will look into it - he seems to do pretty well at that

Ist dieser problem schon bekannt?

Hab seid gestern X1900XT

above post means x1900xt, using atitool to oc the performance is worse with atitool and better with ccc

Yeah, I did see that, Wizzard - I didn't realise you let it by yourself, though - that's why I did a scratch request for English in (attempted) German! Thanks for the info about ccc - also, thanks for the tool in the first place, it's good - and takes less disk space than ccc :)
