Sapphire 9800SE BIOS problem

Hi @ all!

I have the following problem:
I got a Sapphire 9800SE 128MB from one of my friends. He flashed it with a not matching BIOS and because of this, the monitor stayed dark when booting and he bought a new card...

I found an old PCI card an tried to flash the card with a working BIOS. I tried some from the techpowerup collection, got the card working again, but still have the following problem:

1st type of BIOS: display is fine, no artifacts but no 3D Hardware support. When clicking "Show 3D View" in ATITools it says somthing like: "selected card is not used by your computer" and DxDiag shows: DirectDraw, Direct3D and AGP Texture Acceleration are disabled and I can not enable them. All of this with a clean XP Pro ore Vista 5270 and the original 6.2 Catalyst ore Omega Drivers.

2nd Type of BIOS: display is bad, lots of artifacts but 3D is working...

Now I wonder if the card is broken ore if I'm just missing the right BIOS file...

I already send an email to Sapphire but they don't want to send me the matching BIOS file, why ever!?!

PN: 1024-MC00-ED-SA
SN: A040600045214
Memory: SAMSUNG 148 K4D26323RA-GC3N (I read these are 3,3 ns)

I hope someone of you have an idea how to solve this problem, ore even have the same card and could send me the BIOS file.

hmm...did you remove the PCI card? :p . if you did, use the second bios and get a huge aftermarket cooler (or just reapply the one that came with it, remember to reapply thermal paste and clean the old stuff off)
