Hello all!

I recently bought a Sapphire X800 GTO AGP which turned out to have a R430 core. It also seems to have no hardware lockout for the disabled pipelines.

I understand the basics of BIOS-Modding. Could I simply flash a X800 XL BIOS? Would that unlock the pipelines?

Now:

- What exactly do I have to do to unlock those 4 pipelines?
- Can I go back to the original configuration in case of warranty? (assuming the card still works to a certain degree :D )
- Where do I get the neccessary files?

I don't know yet what memory Sapphire used on my card, but I didn't intend on OC the card anyway.

before you flash the card, with the R430 core, they don't usually overclock much past 450 core and 560 memory. What you can do is unlock the extra 4 pipes. I just did it. I wasn't up to par on changing the BIOS using a hex editor so I had someone do it for me. The pipes are now unlocked from 12 to 16 and my scores jumped in 3DMARK 05 from around 5100 to 5600 and 3DMARK 06 I went from 1500 to 1900. Here's a link to my thread.
