Hi,

just purchased a brand new Sapphire GTO2 VIVO red PCB with additional power connector (less than £130 from Scan in the UK:) ) to go with my new Opteron 144 and new MSI K8N SLI Platinum with a fresh install of Windows XP Pro (all updates) and latest drivers. No OC at present and with a Hiper 480W PSU with 6 pin connector hooked up to graphics card.
Wondering if someone could help me with the following:

1. In ATI tool (the one that is modified with omega drivers and version 2.4 from this site, which is great by the way!) i cannot get an overclock without artifacts in the 3D renderer. Even at stock speeds (399mhz core and 491mhz ram) it reports that i have artifacts and when i get ATI Tools to try to find max GPU core or RAM it drops down and just keeps going. I am using the latest omega drivers (based on catalyst 6.2).
Why does this happen? Is it due to the omega driver? I have been playing COD2 without problems or corruption and 3DMark03 looks great with scores around 10365. System has been stable for over 48 hours now with no hint of a problem and the graphics card is always below 65C.

2. In all the utilities i have tried my card is reported as having 16 pipelines active :D , however i have read that it is better to flash the bios of the GTO2 to get the best stability with an overclock. If i was to flash to a X850XT bios would this also automatically increase my GPU and RAM speeds to X850XT speeds (540mhz and 590mhz)?
As you can see from 1. if the card cant hold up to this then i am in a bit of trouble as this is my only PCI-E graphics card and i have no PCI card either.

Thanks for any help
