View Full Version : Upgrading my pc soon need some advice.

i am going to sell my old 2600+ with a videocard thats i have here 9200 vivo + 512 meg memory and the msi k7n2 mtb.

so i keep my x850(moddedXT PE) AGP and i also keep 2 x 1gig OCZ performance my SB X-FI whats i need is something betwen both world going to AMD 64

i want a mtb thats will take either single or dual core for future upgrade i want a AGP mtb with dual chanel.

i am going to sell my old stuff for 450$ i need to get my hand on cpu + mtb + HS for cpu


anybody have good tips for agp mtb? or anyway to change ,my agp card to pcie.....

i think u need to go pci-e.. in theory your old X850 agp should fetch reasonable money.. decent agp cards are still expensive..

If your not including the GPU then I dobut you will get $450 for that stuff. Might as well sell it all since you can get a x850xt(PCI-E) for about $170.

get an ASRock 939DUAL-SATA2

Its almost an enthusiast motherboard, its inexpensive and it has both AGP and PCI-E. It supports dual core after bios edition 1.2.

I cant get a new intel based system under 500 bucks

even with mid range parts and ok vid card

I just finshed building a rig based on this MB. I am staying Agp for a while with my 9800 pro. Although the intallation wasnt that much of a problem as some ppl have cribbed about with this MB... it is not working at its optimal yet. I need to tinker with its bios to begin with. Best of luck to you. Oh by the way... this MB is the only soln as of now to our kind of dilemma.
