Hey, I've realized that unless we have Nforce boards it's almost impossible to overclock systems. So does anyone know what clock generator athlon XP's use (any core)? Trying to breathe new life into my old 1600+/Radeon 8500 (now 9600XT) system.

yeah man....I'm not really ignorant to computers in any way (except actually creating programs), I know about the BIOS clocking. Although it's all locked, which I thought might be obvious since I asked the question. I was gonna give you guys the model but the problem is I'm too lazy to find it (even though all I have to do is restart and wait for the splash screen lol), but I'll find it now. The next post will have the model. Thanks guys

Alright guys it's the Asus A7V333, a VERY old board. It's big thing at the time was being able to support DDR333/PC2700, hence the name A7V "333". Thanks guys.

And thanks a lot yogurt, I'll try that.
