    I am really sorry for being an asshole. I wish I could remove all my jackass posts.

    What type of core voltage did you need to overclock that CPU? Just curious.

    I destroyed my E8400 last night and was going to buy an E8500 today... but they didn't have one in stock. So, I have another E8400. Just curious, how high do you think I can take this CPU on water without frying it? Know any good information on an E8400 which states recommended limit voltages/temps? I heard 75C is temp limit and I am well below that. So far I can only get 4.01GHz out of it at 1.3V before it starts becoming unstable -- but that was on my last E8400. This current one seems to run a lot cooler, so maybe I will be able to hit higher clocks.

    I destroyed my last E8400 by doing an experiment. It always ran pretty hot and I wanted to see how much cooler it would run without the CPU cover on. Well, I nicked a couple of circuits on the chip while removing the silicon sealant around the perimeter, so now I have a new CPU. Fortunately it runs much cooler (which I already covered).
