Left 4 Dead wont install

Hey guys, just want tolet you know that I bought left 4 dead today at a store, not online, and the game wont even start or install, wont even autostart, i've tried everything and nothing happens, *edited*

Just because you can't get it to install, doesn't mean that it's Valve's fault. You could have a problem with your system. Instead of coming into a forum and complaining about, try to get proactive, and contact Valve support or something.

enter the key code in Steam under "Activate A Product On Steam" and download it, maybe? you can find that option under "Games" on the Steam toolbar

thats what i did at first, but the servers were so busy it wouldn't download, so i installed from disc and it went fine. you may want to download, however

also look for the TPU Left4Dead thread. all things L4D can most likely be answered there
