Evga X58 Rma

well my bios flash was currupted so i had to send it back it takes a week both ways and is now on its way to me...im very happy with EVGA's rma process....i even managed to get the X58 shirt promo they were doing even though i was almost sure i wouldnt because it was only for the first 500 registrants...but i was incredably pleased because the process is supposed to take a minimum of 3 days or more...i wrote them a little love note and put it in the box before i packaged it up...and when it gotm to evga it only took a day before they shipped it out lol....w00t id like to bealive it was my note and not that they werernt busy so ill stick with that...now the question is when i open the box in 6 days will they have replied? i wonder.

Yeah i love eVGA one of the best companys out there.

And maybe they will as last time i was talking to them they did have a sense of humor.

That's one thing I will compliment EVGA about. At least they aren't like the a!@H^5es at visiontek. Yeah, their rma department is pretty good.

remember love notes are the key....i was actually a little surprised i was going to get ready to bitch up a storm because i half expected them to be like..sure we will take it back but it will be $60 to fix it...but they didnt i talked to them a little via e-mail and my rma was approved on the spot.. (bios was currupted during DL because their servers were straining.)

My one time dealing with VisionTek's RMA as pleasant. E-mailed the tech department about a card not working and wanting to RMA, got a response back with instructions, filled out the instructions, go the info, mailed the card and waited for it to come back. But good to hear that EVGA's RMA process if quick and hassle free, have to do a bit more checking, but I think one of my 260's has a problem with folding where it whines.

whining is a coil or cap...one could be weak or failing leading to voltage fluctuation making the card unstable which would lead to ending untis early or program crashes

Thanks for that lil update. I will individually test the cards to see which it is and then further test that card to see if it indeed it is faulty. Suggestions on how best to do that?

load it really...isolate the card that wines then check your temps...see if upping the fan speed helps the cards stability and in all honesty load it...make sure your using the latest WHQL though i love using the betas but f we want to isolate a driver issue we need a control...try the 181 WHQL's then try the 185.20 if it still happens to crash and sqeal for both its a hardware fault.

last thing i RMA'd with them was a 780i board they crosshipped me the new mobo. took a huge 3 days and was 100% free i love EVGA RMA

i couldnt get them to budge my GF was pissed because the board didnt work and i only had it 5 hours and they admited their fault...but they refused to cross ship or ship it to me faster or even pay for my shipping saying "you had that option at the reg screen" but w/e atleast the rma itself wasnt a hassle.

i called and said this is board number 3 take care of it or i wont buy anything EVGA again and they crosshipped it that night

Well I had been using the 185 drivers so that could have been a problem. Using the 181.22 WHQL currently, but haven't tried folding yet.

Nice one Cda... I just got my 780i back from evga.. I e mailed them to ask what was wrong with the other board, and they replied that there wasn't a rma for that board, but they be glad to give me my tracking number for the new one that is going to be sent out... I don't quite get that.. But, I got it back, and hoping it will work.. Cadawall, yhpm soon.. lol
