Flash it and test again but it is close to it's max.

Hi all j m a new owner of a x800VE from LDLC j just run ATI tool 2.5 v14 and obtain this result is it good or not????

Is that your card equal to (you can see pictures in the pdf "flash instructions" file:

Just compare and tell me. Your card can be unlocked using one of the utilities.

You are sure that the card is equal to listed in the Flash instructions file? On the back site you have 8 mosfets in the top-right corner?
Save your BIOS and post it here. If you realy have the same board use XL BIOS just to unlock to 16 pipes and to test your max. overclock of the core/memory with 16 pipes. Report about the values and I will modify your original or XL bios to be recognized correctly (R480) and with the proper clocks.

It should work. Do you have copy of the original BIOS? If yes please just attach a copy of it but don't make me to explain 1000 times for what I need that BIOS. It is needed for you .

Try to overclock it in order to be sure that it is R480. What are the max core / memory clocks?

This is R430 not R480

and what i suppose to do?
do you know can I flash my card by the Flash Utility X800GTO AGP R430 from cd, when boot from it you can chose how to flash and I have chosen X800XL but looks like it's not work???

Overclock it. The r480 has really nice overclocking potential, but be careful of temps. I would suggest aftermarket cooling before trying to clock it up to high.

Ok so Core=400mhz and mem=500mhz Since I have stock cooling on the r480 and all 16 pipes are unlocked what do you think I should run it at untill I get better cooling. Also what cooling would be the easiest to install on this card since im a rookie.

I would just test it while keeping an eye on your temps.

As for the cooler, I would get either an ATI Silencer 5 or a Zalman VF700 or VF900. If you have the red PCB, then the silencer will fit, but I'm not sure if it fits on the blue... just make sure you have the mounting holes on your card if you decided to order the ATI Silencer.

Can I upgrade this card to 16 pipelines? I tried Automated flash utility and there were still only 12 pipelines.
