CoD4 looked really nice on PC, though there is room for improvement but it still looked nice, not as good looking on 360 but still nice.

MW2 is looking very nice from the new videos, can't wait. Hope the single player is a little longer, first one was only 6 hours though I played it about 6 times.

most of the effort goes into online play. which is understandable - 95% of people already have fast internet connection - also online game play tends to be a lot more enjoyable. Single player is more about being a 'taster' to show you what the games like. then you can really dig into it online.

At least with CoD4, in my opinion, the single player had a high replay value. It was good enough to play through a second time for no reason, they you could play through Hardened or Veteran and if you really wanted to, Arcade mode.

I played Recruit, Hardened, Veteran, Arcade and then another run through for the 30 enemy intel items. I don't mind if MW2 is 6 hours long because no doubt it's going to rock and there's the endless multiplayer, still play CoD4 today and it's almost 2 years old.

Just wish it was longer cos I don't want it to end, man CoD4 was so good, I kinda felt like I was there, was like a movie, it was so gripping.

IMHO, the only thing that justified the expense for CoD was the MP . . .

CoD4 was good, the graphics were quite beautiful with everything cranked, but the story was just rather short . . . asides, each mission was rather predictable, and an endless supply of ammo and goods could be had if you chilled at a "point."

CoD:WaW was alright, but, yet, another foray into a style/theater that's been beaten to a bloody pulp, necromansized, then beaten ad naseum. Asides, I personally felt the visuals in WaW were a step backwards for the series . . . and especially the audio was a major leap backwards (c'mon, console audio on a PC?!).

TBH - MW2 looks pretty (like the first one did), it might be interesting to play through . . . but, the MP aspect will be it's defining point, again.

Haha CoD 4 was not 6 hours long i clocked in at alil over 4 hours, it was longer on Veteran of course thats cause i died a shit load time.

i really want to get MW2 but if it has short game play then count me out i have crappy internet i cant play games online why cant we go back to the old days where game play was more important than Graphics like all the N64 games rocked! and yeah that sucks that MW2 for Pc is $60!! Check the EGG!!!..,, or why cant faster internet move out to the middle of nowhere lands for us farmers!!

meh . . . just done some diggin around IW's MW2 site . . .

I'm pretty dissapointed by the lack of any "special" edition for the PC community . . . I'm usually willing to purchase a special edition (if possible) simply for the fact that it's like a mini "Christmas" with all the other goodies you get . . . makes one feel like an 8 yr. old all over again, and that's worth the expense, IMHO.

Just crap, though, that the PC gaming community is continously shafted by game developers in this regard . . . sure, the console boys will practically shove money out for such hyped titles (and it appears that the special edition pre-orders are already sold out for both PS3 and 360 . . . go figure), but would it really be that hard (and worth the additional expense) to offer the same level of "quality" to the PC community?

Oh well . . . I guess such being the case, I'll just be patient and wait until the price has come down after the initial release . . . no point in dumping $60 on a carboard box, a DVD, jewel case and a 6-page case insert with the game instructions, right?

I know what you mean

... it also gives people the reason to pirate single player games that don't last long. But really most the game play in MW2 would be in Multiplayer imo.

Anyways yeah I read somewhere that SquareEnix will soon be part of steam meaning they may be releasing their games for PC very soon, well I hope anyways that they will follow what Capcom is doing and doing console ports.. Capcom console ports are probably the only decent console ports out there......
