Indeed , neither for me also , CODBO is another mw2 gameplay wise more or less, I saw the multiplayer , it's the same thing , it's a console game anyway , it's not on preorders list for PC , but MOH is. Also MOH might be a different gameplay to be somewhat more better but you look EA , it's EA , they just put someone to make it because they saw MW2 success , that's how EA works , MOH was just an answer to the CODs , no real dev team.

So ... Duke Nukem Forever for me , Rage (long way to go) , i hope it is PC to the max , everything looks good so far and gearbox is hinting for dedicated servers ("Steam an MS are hurting PC community" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQ8dP1x5EAY )

Some interesting tidbits

PC Games Hardware has done a comparison showing the difference between DX9 vs DX11 (the only DX11 feature mentioned is shadow filtering). Hmm, I though this game only supported DX9 and DX10.

As for BO I found something very interesting. It appears that the zombie maps will be included in Harden and Prestige version of BO. I've looked around and found no such editions for the PC.

SP

I've given MOH a try since it's out and wanted to know if some of what people are saying about it is true from my prospective. The SP is similar to other SP FPS game out there. I've not seen any note worthy bugs yet. The AI doesn't stay in one spot in open areas. They only seem stationary during times when you have to use your night vision to see. As for game progression you do have to pay attention and follow instructions in order to progress. One example was the cliff side sniping were you are told to zoom out to find more enemies. If you don't zoom out you won't see the makers pop up on mountain. The markers allows you to progress in the game and are very easy to spot. However, they only stay up for a few seconds (which really isn't hard to remember).

There is an on and off switch for AA in the menu for SP (not MP). I don't think unreal 3 engine games support traditional AA so that's really not an issue for me as I've seen no obvious jaggies. I've not completed SP yet but the graphics do look good maxed out & I'm enjoying the game so far. Although I'm not sure what type of AA is being used it does appear to do the job as I've not noticed any obvious alias crawling.

I really liked the helo sniping and strafing and will probably play that mission again. Also using those special binoculars to call for A10 strafing and laser guided bombs was also pretty fun.
Out of all the time I've played the SP I've found only 1 AI that was facing the wrong way on the tower. The FOV seem fine to me except for when I was riding the quad (similar to BC2). After completing the SP you unlock the Tier 1 mode. A lot of people have played this according to the list of names/scores.

MP

Ping is missing once you join a server which I found odd and IMO something that should be included. Another complaint is no ability to save a server once you join. Something I've not seen since BF2 (post patch). The hit rego is better then in BC2. Using the dot scope I find myself getting more head shots then with BC2. Bullet deviation is not the same as BC2. Although there appears to be some bullet spread at distance. Prone and lean are in SP but not MP. I'm not sure if you can select single shot or not. However, firing one bullet at a time is a lot easier then in BC2 or BF2. The shot gun doesn't appear to be as good at distance then in BC2. Overall it takes less time to cause a user to respawn then in BC2. Run and gun is a definite challenge in MP unless you know your way around. Although I wouldn't define it as a tactical game because of this I can see why some have complained bout it.

I've found a few severs to play on but make sure you play on PB enabled servers. PB has already started banning. Not many but it's a start. The maps are smaller then BC2 but do accommodate the 24 player limit. I'm not sure what's planned for map packs but I read a post by the dev that something would be announced.

Yesterday, MOH received an update:
Fixed a potential crash when using DirectX9 and switching kits/weapons
- Fixed an endless "Joining Game" loop when connecting with a non-PunkBuster client to a PunkBuster server
- Server browser would sometimes remain blank for 60+ seconds after a full refresh should now begin displaying results immediately, under any circumstances
- Server browser supports multiple game servers running on the same host IP
- Server browser bugfixes for “Quick Refresh” operation
- Server browser is less prone to shuffling the order of entries
- Ping reporting in the server browser is more accurate (in a few cases ping values would get assigned to the wrong server)
- Full refresh no longer tracks the first server that arrives in the list
- When trying to join a full server, an error message is now displayed informing the user that the server is full.
- Improved anti-cheat functionality

One last thing, if for any reason someone has issue getting PB to install then try manually downloading pbsec.htm from PB. You create a pb (lower case) sub folder located:
Electronic Arts\Medal of Honor\MP\pb\pbsec.htm
there is no pb subfolder. Than go through the process of updating PB.

Overall is MOH a MW2 clone? IMO no it's not. Although MOH does share the same similarities of most FPS out there I wouldn't call it a MW2 clone because of it. Nothing new for BO yet.

I totally agree with that, I can see why they did it though, if players cannot see it they will not b**** about it being high, especially new players who don't know what it is.

I enjoyed this game and the mp is hard at first but as you level up it gets better.Only bug with it i had was cat driver issues with the screen getting black lines when standing next to a rock or the old migs in the airfield.but hey it is a new game and AMD have not released cat 10.10 yet with the profiles .

Try this

Another concern for MP is that they really need to increase the number of points you need. 1800 is simply not enough. 2400 or 3600 options should be allowed server side.

Picked up MoH for 360 (I'm looking to build a PC soon, so console only for the moment :'(), and I'm more interested in the single-player campaign mode in these games, and I was incredibly disappointed at how short MoH was. I started playing it when I got home for about 3 hours, stopped, and while I had lunch, I exited, installed on the 360's HDD (because the DVD noise was driving me insane, wish I had the new 360), came back, played for another two hours, and was done.
I took my time, no rushing, I wanted to enjoy the action, but it ended in no time!
I must admit, the campaign was pretty great when you're playing as Tier 1, but quickly becomes a little repetitive when you're playing a Ranger.

I tried the online component, and I do admit I enjoyed it a bit, but it's not my thing. I may have paid for a 12 month Gold account, but it doesn't mean I'll use every feature to death. Even worse is that some people haven't subscribed, bought the game thinking it was focused on SP, and have got a lame duck.
I had hoped it had some extra form of single-player, like a way to play as a Tier 1 in special missions, as it's copied MW2 so much already, this just makes sense, but I was disappointed when I realised Tier 1 Mode (or whatever it's called) just brought up online leaderboards. Guess what developers: I don't care whether I'm 1st or 1,000,000,000th when it comes to SP.

I'm going to play through the campaign mode once more, as I bought it for that, and then sell it. Haven't used the online code, so hopefully I won't get screwed over too much.

Really hoping CoD:BO doesn't disappoint, otherwise it'll be my last FPS for a pretty long while. I've got enough games to get me by in my collection, until something with a greater focus on single-player comes about.

If you like online multiplayer, it seems fun. The expanding map is a good idea, keeps you focused on a target, but it's usually very narrow, and you can easily go AWOL, and not have time to get back, and then get killed. I like the idea of an FPS/RPG mix, even though everyone's doing it, would be great if, like I saw a description of, you could buy equipment from a specialist store, rather than just unlock stuff with levelling.
Maybe I missed out something, a feature I didn't see, but from what I could tell, everyone on the servers was using only equipment they unlocked by levelling. I could have sworn I had read about being able to buy equipment. Guess I might have missed something. Oh well.

Somewhat disappointed overall.

In other news...More than 1.5 Million copies sold. Sigh, I wish those figures were broken down for PC, PS3 and 360. This was after five days on sale in the US and two days in European and Asia. Makes me wonder if pre-orders played a factor or not.

Thank god the population on servers as decreased in the last week.Glad there will be no more jump and 1 shot kills with the 47-m16 line of guns.

Wow, after waiting a few more weeks I can't get any confirmation on BO MP count yet. Perhaps I missed a post/article about it? Anyone know?

Yeah, I've read 18 echoed on their forums before. W@W was 24 if I recall. But I do remember seeing 32 and 48 player servers. So that's a step backwards if that turns out to be true.

pc / xbox?

360, I dont have a gaming rig anymore :( Im a HUGE CoD fan and this game is impressing the hell out of me (but to be honest, I loved the storyline for MW2, whereas some didnt). PLUS, it has a playable zombie mode from the get go.........and Ive heard rumours about another zombie mode that is unlockable upon campaign completion ;)

18 player count for MP, CONFIRMED
They had a BB live chat (similar to MW2) and there it is confirmed that the PC version of this game will have 18 players for ranked and 24 players for unranked. I lol when I read that becaese W@W supported 24 players on ranked servers.

source

Now, is it still worth $60 to play 9 vs 9 online on dedicated servers. No different than console players on P2P. :wtf:

Long gone are the days of COD 2 and COD 4 multiplayer server sizes. Sigh. :shadedshu
