Sapphire HD2900 Pro 512 Problems

K guys, I got this used because the guy got an 8800GT and the 2900 is barely used at all.
Installation was fined and all looked great, upon installing atitraytools however (after reinstalling Cat 7.10) I got a crash right at the end of the installation...Now I can't run anything 3D, the 3DMark apps just hang at that initial system scan "not responding" and games just crash to the desktop or worse
I pm'd the guy just a minute ago asking if he had a bad bios flash or something...
also unfortunately I didn't test anything 3D before the atitraytools crash so I don't know for sure if it was because of that or the card
I've since reinstalled Cat 7.10 about 2 times and still no luck

could it be something to do with atitraytools' integration into the drivers? do I need to do a better driver wipe than just uninstalling CCC&drivers?

could try rolling back your cat drivers - may help.

for 3dmark you need the new update or del the dll in your sys32 folder.

try tools no go for the HD cards..(kinda works after the XT flash)...ATi tool you need to use it with AMD GPU to really OC.

the futermark dir in system 32 you have to remove the dll file.just make a new folder and move it in there.

If install the latest 3dmark it should be ok ,theres a uppdate fore 3dmark 06 .If you got still broblems try driver cleaner and take out any old drivers that is or may conflict with the card.

The lastest isn't on the TPU server...and I bet that's where he downlowaded it from.
