Which gaming, wired mouse would you prefer if you have a large hand? Also include the mouse that offers the best benefits in gaming.

Sidewinder
Habu
G9
G5

I've tried the MX518 and although it's a very nice mouse it's size posses a problem.

Are you large handed width wise or lengthwise, (like from your wrist to your fingers or from your thumb to the middle of your hand?)

I've got pretty large hands, the G5 is my mosue at the moment, but I had an MX510 before it. Both fit my hand well, but the Sidewinder is massive, so I might be trying that out some time soon, to see if it's any better.

Whoops! I need to recind my vote for the G9, that's a different revision than mine. Sorry for not looking at the links FIRST.

I'd go with the G5, although the Sidewinder looks like it would fit well. the G5 is very high in the center so your hand just drapes over it.

The hump is of some importance.
PVTCaboose1337, yes on both. The MX1000 was a near perfect fit for me however, they no longer make it and it was a wireless mouse not good for gaming.

I think someone put it great in another thread about this, you need to go "sample" the mouse. Go to an electronics store and say you want to test out a mouse. If you ask nicely, they might even let you hook it up to a demo computer and play a quick game on it.

Yes, I intend to do that. It would have been easier had CompUSA never went out of business though :shadedshu.

The mx518 and the g5 use the same exact shell. The g9 is small. The habu is also small (razer size). I haven't had hands on usage with the sidewinder, but it does look big.

Ok I tried them out:
-the MX 518 and G5 are the same which didn't have enough of a hump
-the G9 was simply to short and to small and flat
-the Sidewinder was long enough and wide enough. The hump appears to be the same as the MX519 and G5 but at a different location.

What surprised me was MS's 6000 mouse. Although not ideal for gaming IMO it was extremely comfortable and reminded me of the MX1000 except it was much taller. It's shape is contoured around the hand and was very comfortable to use despite it's unusual height. If anyone is looking for a none gaming, wireless mouse I ask that you check this out. I am not sure if this suite those with small hands but for those with large hands this is a must try!

Here is another website discussing it:
here
As you can see you actually palm the mouse instead of gripping it.

SteelSeries Ikari in Optical or Laser, Optical for Low Sensitivity and Laser for High Sensitivity, Fred did a review on Both versions and he said the Optical surprisingly had better tracking combined with a proper surface. used to own a Habu I have really small hands but I prefer a big heavy mouse.

So far the Sidewinder is a formidable mouse. It takes come getting use to but once you get things going it's:
-more precise then the MX518 when sniping in BF2
-decreased delay in player movement going from prone to stand in BF2. Yes, the mechanics of that changed to create a delay. However, when I press the side button to go from prone to standing position, there is no delay to actually see your player move. This was what I use to think was the built in delay. Turns out it was my old mouse.
-you have to download the drivers. I was hoping I would update to them but after 1 1/2 days waiting for it to show up I simply updated it myself.
-Sidewinder is comfortable for me but it does take some getting use to. This in my book is acceptable.
