I don't think you can reach 1100 mhz. You would need to remove the overvoltage protection
and change some hardware on the card to handle the stress :slap:

1080 is the limit i reached and its very unstable, just enough to run 3dmark and fur with some
light artifacting

So im gonna have a crossfire hard mod water cooled this weekend! Im gunning for 24k Thats the goal. Also Im gonna be posting my bios settings for alittle help to get some more out of my proc. I can do a very unstable 4.05, it sometimes completes 3dmark, sometimes not. I can run a 4.0 stable for about an hour or so 100% Also my ram is being a pain. I know nothing of these new x48 boards so Ill be looking for help!!

Dr That is so clean, and I like the jumper on there! Im alittle worried about diving into the hard mod, but Im sure I can do it!!

Im gonna have to go buy a multi meter this week. Can i just turn it up every so slowely then check the bios through software?? Or is their a very safe place to monitor voltages at??

Yup, DMM is a must! Don't trust software voltage readings. You can get one for >$10.

The voltage read points are the parallel solder points for the caps here:

Im not worried bout the cost, its just last time I was doing the pencil mod on my 3870 I fried the card testing the voltage there. I still dont really know what happened but I obviously shorted something!

I'm just waiting without reason to vmod my cards. I'm scared, mostly I don't want to lose the money on a burnt up card. I'm waiting for my resistor for my old 8800GTS 640 though. The card already does 720 on the core, I really want to get it to 800 and see what a big ol' G80 core really can do!

All I need is a 500ohm variable resistor! Start at it's highest setting and tune it down to increase the voltage. And a very steady hand to solder it in. I'll just have to do it on a "no coffee" day.

Nah, resistor is ordered, I'm just waiting for it. I still have yet to measure the voltage on this thing... , though I did just recently install a Zerotherm cooler on it, though I haven't checked temps yet. Both my machines are proudly running ATi at the moment, and I don't want the disaster of swapping a nVidia card back in one without re-installing Windows again. It gets sooo tedious sometimes...

As info, I loaded the Cat. 8.3 hotfix drivers last night w/ both cards and CF bridge installed. No problems. Maybe they ARE getting this stuff worked out.

I finally broke the 11K barrier :rockout:

I have actually been able to get my mobo stable up to FSB of 315 but hopefully with my new ram I can increase this a bit more!!

We can rule out the "clock lock", since it's a newer bios. Does your card have the horizontal, or vertical resistor? It won't take a voltage adjustment, or it will. Oh, does it stay at 850 in 2d mode too? It's supposed to.
