GTX 280/260 teaser drivers

Right, with 177.39, there is a 3 point increase in the score in 3D06, but FPS drop from 0.5 ~ 1.5 in crysis compared to the 177.35. PhysX seems to work, gonna do the same tests again.

Check attached files and tell me if PhysX works...

I popped In the 177.39 with the Physics driver already Installed and ran Vantage for the 1st time ever....never ran It before so I don't have a reference....judging by the CPU score I'd have to think physics Is running though.

3D06, no gain, Crysis tun with that Crysis Benchamrking tool thing - again, no gain. Everything run as before, PxysX was set as in my previous post...Am I doing something wrong?

And does Vantage support XP?

Vantage, doesn't support XP.. I don't believe your doing anything wrong man. I'll run Crysis in a bit and tell you how it ran..

Damit, i removed Phyisx and 177.39, ran Driver Cleaner, reboot, Installed Physix, reboot, Installed 177.39 and NOTHING. Physix still not working

I'll try 117.35.

Today, NVIDIA officially launched GPU acceleration for PhysX when they released
the PhysX driver version 8.06.12 which enables PhysX acceleration for the following cards :

GeForce GTX 280
GeForce GTX 260
GeForce 9800 GTX+
GeForce 9800 GTX

You will need to install the latest 177.39 ForceWare driver in addition to the PhysX driver. At this moment,
PhysX support has only been enabled for those four GPUs. NVIDIA will progressively
enable PhysX support in the other GeForce 9 and GeForce 8 graphics over the next few weeks.

Soo, I red this one more carefully than i did it before. Aaand since this version of Physx supports only GTX260/280 and 9800GTX, it means there is support only for GT200 and G92 cores. Mine is G80. So that's why it's not working for me. Now all i have to do is to wait for G80/84 support for Physx.

At least i'm happy it's working for you, GT200/G92 owners :toast:

Oh man, sorry to hear that! I thought the GTS was a G92 core... I hate my memory! lol But I do thank you man! I do!

Hm I get artifacts in Crysis with the 177.35 drivers, but so far I've only seen it happen when switching to Cloak mode and when I get out of Cloak mode. Artifacts coming out of the gun. Looks like a garbled mess.

Even better - i can wait till GT200 & HD4*** will be widely available here in Latvia, so G92's will be sold for sweet prices and i'll grab one. And i'll keep my G80 for Phisx :eek:

Well I'm gonna see what this does for my 9600GT...I've been on 174.74's for a while...I just loaded up the 177.29's...but then I continued reading through the thread and gotta try the .39's.

Has anyone gotten Rivatuner to work with these drivers? If not...I'll have to find another way to get my fan up to around 60% on my card to keep my temps where I like em. Gotta keep this card cool due to the vGPU mod I did...it runs quite a bit warmer, but at 60% my temps stay well within boundries.

I'll report back a little later. :toast:

Check Solaris17's #125 post on page 5th for how to get Riva Tuner working with these drivers.
BTW fan speed changin worked for me without doing that

kk..it seems the 177.39 I have won't unpack from the exe after being unzipped...it says it's corrupted...so I'm off to find another 177.39 download source.
