GTX 280/260 teaser drivers

Update...

I have 177.39 and NV PhysX installed...but it appears that my g94 (dummed down g92) 9600GT does not allow physX to be enabled for the GPU...it's greyed out. Kind of a bummer.

On a good note, Warmonger (the free PhysX FPS game) plays a helluva lot better and I may actually try it out online...I didn't really do much more than try it for 30 seconds...I was really hoping to have PhysX going on...but it's all good I suppose.

I'm gonna have to go play some Mass Effect pretty quick here...been a few days since I've had time to.

I read that there was only those two enabled for physx as of yet...but even so, I can already tell a difference in games like Warmonger in performance alone. I don't mind waiting...kinda cool that this is happening, and hopefully it turns out to be a very positive thing for gaming without overhindering of performance.

With all the complex shaders NV has on their modern GPU's I'm sure that'll be great for many...dunno if my 64 shaders will be good for physx or not...but I sure do wanna find out!

Everyone involved in making this thread, updating it (though the more recent stuff should be on the first post imo...this thread should possibly be a temp-stickied thread also!), and finding ways to help many users with many different setups, OS's and cards, you guys have done a great job and finally gave me a reason to move on from my trust ol' 174.74's in Vista x64. Thank you!

Plus added 177.39 modded *.inf for XP 64

Rivatuner is working for me now on 177.39's on my 8800 GS

rolled back to the drivers origionally posted in this thread and the artifacts I got in Crysis went away. maybe it was the 177.39s, maybe it was the physx...

Installed 177.39 and Physx driver yesterday afternoon. I have Gears of War but haven't tried it yet to see Physx work... Only game I have played since the install is GRID. The drivers seem to work great with this, 8800GTS(G92) 1680x1050, setting s maxed and 8xQAA 8xAF smooth as silk. Went back to 177.35, no artifacts in crysis, so this is a 177.39 problem.

Shadowfold - did you download the actual driver (not just the .inf) ?

I got the PhysX drivers and the 177.59 drivers too and warmonger is laggy like hell no matter what settings I use.. Anyone else have this problem?

177.39 were giving me crysis artifiacts as well, try 177.35.

wont install.. And yea I get artifacts in Crysis but I got so many FPS it was unbelievable.

I had that issue with 174.74 in Vista x64, but with the 177 series I've tried thus far, .29 and .39, it runs great everything maxed out @ 1440x900.

Maybe step back to .35/.29 and see what happens.

What does it say? You copied over the .inf file in the extracted directory of the drivers? I'm pretty sure you did if you installed .39's...maybe go back to .29's...not a huge loss going back that far, yet from what I experienced and read still better than what's official atm.
