The problem is after I use RBE to edit the 2900XT fan setting, and AtiWinflash to flash the edited bios. Then the ATI drivers can't detected my card, but if I reflash the origin bios, it works well.... Is there a way to solve this problem? If you tell me to use ATI tray tool, I have already used it to change the Fan setting, however, it doesn't work perfect. That's why I want to edit the bios. I also read some threads about this problem, there are some HD3650 users have the same situation like mine. So...

Thank you, but it still doesn't work. I also try the WinFlash 2.0.0.2, nothing changed....:(:(
Is there another way to solve this wired problem?
BTW, the bios works well with Fan setting cuz I can see the Fan speed rised.

Try to remove the drivers before flashing. And reinstall those after the flash.

Has their been any progress with this issue?
I too am having the same problem and have tried all above suggestions.
I am using RBE 115 and have gone as far back as Catalyst 7.11 without luck.

Do not have Winzip so just change extension to .rom to open with RBE.

Okay, I'm almost sure I found out what's causing this. Will fix it for the next version. One workaround you might wanna try until then:

Load the BIOS into RBE.

Even though you only wanna change fan settings (fan settings tab) or powerplay table values (clock settings tab), switch to the additional features tab. You will see that the "Method 2 - No hash" option button is selected. This is being done automatically because there is no signature for the 2900 XT card saved into RBE.

Switch this to the "Method 1 - Hash" option button. You don't have to change any value there, just make sure that radio button is selected.

Why? On saving the BIOS, all values will be flushed, this Method 2 hack values also, even if you didn't change something about it. There seems to be a glitch in there, so selecting the "Method 1" hack will make sure the saving routine will not run the "Method 2" - procedure.
Today in the afternoon, when I'm at home, I will look into the source code, but for now, please try this and keep me posted. :)

Good catch.
That worked like a charm. :D

I will be looking forward to the next released version.

See attached if you think it may help with fix...again just change .zip to .rom
