Cod 4. Do power perks really work? Test results

Been playing cod 4 a while now & i've often wondered how much the increased health & damage perks help. ( Sometimes feels they do jack s**t )

So I took it upon myself to check this out using my two gaming pc's on a lan.
All tests where done using a M4 carbine. Close range body shots. (not point blank)

Results show how many body shots it took to make the kill.

Stopping power: on = 2 & off = 3

Stopping power: through a brickwall: on = 4 & off = 5

Deep impact: through a brickwall: on = 4 & off = 5

Stopping power & Deep impact used together through a brickwall = 3

Result shows how many hits it takes for enemy to kill you. (Enemy has no increased damage perks)

Juggernaut: on = 4 & off = 3

Well guess I've only proved the obvious. Increased health & damage perks do work :rockout:

to be perfectly honest with you,from my experiance of playing cod4 you just get shot dead instantly lmao no matter what perk you have.Just matter of luck of surviving and hiding from enemy after getting a kill.

The bullet penetration perks were broken for a long time, though seem to be fixed now - IMO it doesent make alot of diffrence since I only play hardcore though the Juggernaught perk is useful sometimes.

I keep deep impact on a lot of the time, can't shoot through barrels and some walls without it.

I dont think you can have Deep Penetration and Stopping power at the same time, i have deep penetration and UAV Jamming most of the time, ive made numerous kills due to those trying to sneak around a building and the UAV is flying over showing their positions, shooting thru the walls and see like 3 of them go down. I used to use stun grenades due to their damaging impact on enemies . I use silencer or an ACOG scope ontop of a M16. Its true what is said about the M16 and M4, M16 with the ACOG I could make further shots that were accurate where with the M4 they would fall short. Too bad there is no fire selectivity, id be using Semi for most of the fighting.

They are under different ones, stopping power is a red perk(2) and deep impact is a yellow(3).

Exactly what I use UAV Jammer + Deep impact for every assault build I do.

Yeah was pleased to see its worth having both stopping power & deep impact at same time. That gives the same damage through a brickwall as the standard gun through fresh air !
