First off, I take PayPal only, I do not ship outsite the US so don't ask, and with that said let's begin. My heatware is: "thebeephaha" and my ebay is: "jh_productions"
I have a USED ASUS C90S barebones gaming laptop which has been pretty much maxed out without doing some mods.
If you know anything about this laptop already you know it is pretty unique. It takes a standard socket 775 CPU and has an interchangeable video card.
Specs:
Detailed specs here: http://www.excaliberpc.com/580185/asus-c90s-15.4in-wsxga-intel.html#TabSpecification
I currently have Windows 7 RTM installed but the laptop will come WITHOUT an OS, OR with an RC version of Windows 7 so you can use it till mid next year or whenever before the trial expires. Your choice.
Now. This is important to know. The laptop originally came to me with a defective video card. These suckers get hot (100c is quite common apparently) and over time it started to artifact. Per some reading on this laptop, a quick fix, albeit rather extreme, to bake the video card (10min @ 375F) to re-flow the solder (sort of like fixing the RROD on 360's). Long story short, I fixed it and the unit works great. I can provide screen shots and even a video if you would like to see the laptop functioning perfectly. EDIT: Full run of 3DMark06 on video. (~3400 points for the curious)
I have stripped it down, and redone all of the thermal paste with Arctic Cooling MX-2 and added some additional ramsinks inside to help with the temps. (90c load vs 100c and up prior)
Lastly the battery isn't great, gets about an hour or so. But the laptop is using a desktop CPU so you can't really expect much.
I am selling the unit AS-IS but it has been working like a champ for me for several months. You will get all of the above in the specs along with the charger and original box. I am even going to throw in a special edition Timbuk2 Windows Mobile / Texas Instruments customized laptop bag.
Because of the nature of the unit and the video card has had past issues. I am going to ask$750 $650 $550 (else I go ebay now) shipped for the unit completed. The barebones unit alone sells online for over $700 without any of the parts (CPU, RAM, GFX, HDD, WiFi, TV Tuner).
