I am very keen so see how tweaked up 5770's go aye.

Seems to cream a 4770 and best a 4850 nicely too, I'd love a pair.

So with 2 cards in Crossfire, can you run 2 monitors from card #1, and the third monitor from card #2 for eyefinity?

I'd much rather dump cash on card #2 than a crazy expensive active adapter.

Best a 4850 yes. Not to sure about creaming a 4770 though. ;)

Eyefinity will allow 3 monitors per card, one must be via display port.

From the reviews I've seen, it seems to best the 4770 by a good 20-25%+ in pretty much every test.

An excellent step up for a card with 128-bit GDDR5 IMO.

Eyefinity will allow 3 monitors per card, so with two cards you can run 6.

Sorry, to elaborate I mean without having to use either cards display port.

EDIT: sorry for the double post :ohwell:

I tend to agree after a healthy OC the 4770 should do considerably better than a 4850, but there is no denying the 5770 is a decent whack faster than both.

"decent" is the key word. I expect it to be quite a git better. I hope it is.

:rockout:

If not it seems like the HD5770 is just a flashed HD4770 with some more ram and a few more stream processors.

The two are so very alike that is true, Seems to me like no laser cut sp's and some faster GDDR5 (obviously a different core too, but so similar)

The 4770 was an excellent step into 40nm, and since the 5770 was practically a release 5xxx series card, I would not discount the possibility of a 5790, that could be one serious little ripper.

Thx for bios.

No luck with the core, seems 960MHz 1.2volt are my limit. Tried 1GHz 1.3volt and not errror free. Have maxed memory at 1445 and seems to scale in performance from 1200, so the memory error correction dont kick in i think. Also the max memory in the asus bios are the same, 1445MHz, as stock bios. I have flashed back to orginal bios.

up the voltage to 1.262v and use that bios you won't have a problem breaking 1000 core.

Have you tried to use MSI After Burner for voltage control combined with AMD GPU Clock tool?

What drivers are you guys using?

After I flashed my Sapphire HD4770s to Asus TOP HD4770 I didn't get immediate results until I did a super clean uninstall of the drivers and a clean install of the latest drivers available.

Did you do that? If not it is worth a shot. The HD5770 should be able to do 1GHZ no problem.

with the bios I just posted voltage is unlocked with afterburner as are the clocks so one tool is all you need.

Yes I know that. I did a similar flash with the HD4770 to the Asus TOP BIOS and it worked great. If I wouldn't have had to do it I wouldn't though.

After flashing, the clocks were screwy and unstable till I did a 100% clean uninstall and slaughter of all prior ATI drivers in the registry and in between the toes. It was nasty. However when I got the clean new drivers installed the HD4770s were flashed to ASUS Top and my RIG didn't have a clue it was really a Sapphire HD4770. They work great.

TrT740 go to HWBOT and submit your scores. You have the highest Vantage score for single HD5770 right now. You'll get some points. Do it as a TPU team member for the team. :) You can do some major damage with your HD5770 at HWbot right now. :rockout:

Na I just posted the bios on extreme last night they will all beat my score no problem on water. It doesn't matter to me. :D I'm very impressed with just how small this card is and it's not loud at all. Very well designed and it will fit in very small cases. For such a small card it packs a giant punch.
