XP Media Center Edition installed with XP Pro CD

I'm reinstalling XP on a friends PC. The CD key is for Media Center Edition but I only have a XP Pro CD. Can I reinstall windows with their key using and XP Pro CD?

I found mixed answers. I found someone that said yes and some one that said no.
Personally, I would try to get a media center disc, that way you know it will work.

You have to use the right version, MCE is especially picky. It took me 4 tries to get the right copy for a reinstall on a client's PC.
