Windows Speech Recognition ?!

I was fiddling around with some of the lesser known and used Vista features. I was bored i guess. I came across Windows Speech Recognition and decided to give it a whirl.

I know that this feature is also present in 7 too.

It's not that bad. It can get some getting used too. People may find it stupid when you can click away faster then telling windows what you want.

Telling word what you want to write is pretty funny because it does make some funny mistakes but it does actually work to a fair degree.

If your bored and have a mic laying around, you should try it out for kicks.

Just type "Speech" in the Start search.

If you run the full setup it will learn how you pronounce words and make fewer mistakes.

It also recognizes four letter words.

Yeah I've trained mine three times and it amazingly accurate.

I used it just yesterday to have it type all my notes, I just read it and it typed it. Turned out being a lot faster and only made like two mistakes through out the whole thing.

I use four letter works and say stuff to my computer all the time, but it doesn't copy what I say. It replies with other four letter words, BSOD, and random program crashes. Maybe I am doing it wrong?
