Mobo came back today.

Same board i shipped came back. Same problems still.

It just doesnt make sense why all 3gb doesnt show in windows or bios but in cpuz it shows 3gb. In windows and bios is shows 2.

XMP won't work. Each ram sticks work fine in dimm 2/3 (2 far right black dimms) Which leads me to believe the memory is fine since there isnt one stick that doesnt show up in another DIMM. Only the first dimm is whacky?

WTF?

Good morning! This is Donald from MSI Tech Support; sorry for any incovience cause by the RMA didn’t fix your problem at the previous one. The best I can do so far for you I already help you issue 2nd RMA with ecall tag, that mean this time you don’t need to pay any shipping about ship back the board to us and we will help you replace the board this time. Please notice if RMA department find out any physical damage on the board cause the board problem, we can’t replace the board for you, we only can repair it for you. You should received two emails this time, one from our RMA department and the other one from UPS for your shipping label. Thank you very much!

Best regards,
Donald (MSI Tech Support)
MSI emailed me... I don't know if I trust shipping it back to them AGAIN??

And this is the "ecall tag" he put in the new RMA

Quote:
Request Type RMA
RMA# RR09026642
Special Request [eCall Tag] customer rec'vd the RMA RR09024328 and the board still appear same problem, customer try different components already. Please replace the board, thanks! If find any physical damage please contact customer about it. dy
What does he mean by physical damage? I mean god damn, the board's DIMM 1 is physically FUCKED.

then I emailed him and asked about cross shipping and putting my CC on file.. he replies very quickly and says

Quote:
Dear Rob,

Good afternoon! The problem we don't have any board for cross
shipment. We only can provide 2nd RMA and help you replace the board
and you need to ship back the defective one and we will ship back the
replace board to you. Sorry for any incovience about that. Thank you
very much!

Best regards,
Donald (MSI Tech Support)
Doesnt have a board for cross ship, but I should expect them to send me a board they don't have to replace the one I'm sending in?

HUH?

Heh....My GTX260 they sent me back is giving me the same problems the original did. They even sent me a new card, not a refurb. I'm starting to wonder if I've maybe got other issues.
