Ah good old socket A, i had a 9600XT with a socket A system. the cpu was an athlon xp 2500+ with the Barton core. 1GB DDR400 XMS. yea.. my first real gaming pc. the motherboard was an Abit NF7-S. that thing was tough. it survived THREE hits from lightning! the first hit messed up the onboard lan, the 2nd took out the sound, and the third just made the cpu more heat sensitive... guess what finally killed it? ... a bios update. figures.

yea... the 9800s were beasts.

lol I got 2 pretty old card I have a geforce 8400 gs it's so old my fan stopped working in it i gotta order a new one, and i also have a ATI 9250 pro that I'm letting a friend use because he was using a shitty onboard gfx card. Both of these cards run great and have not had any problems at all. My bro is using my old comp with the 8400 gs the temps get a little to hot for a gpu but its been contently running for like 5 months like that and hasn't gone out. I'm gonna order that fan soon probably lol. And my 9250 pro only has a heat sink over the gpu even tho its a fairly big heatsink cools it descent.

I owned 2 Voodoo 5500 AGP 2x's. One actually died because of a cap missing and I left it at school in grade 11 (2007). I graded in 2008 and got a free voodoo 5500 AGP 2x in 09 sometime.

well one of my voodoo 5 agp caps fell off years ago... interestingly it still works How sturdy these cards are! It even survived a blown computer (except voodoo and the cpu every thing was burnt due to power surge)
