Need a new PC

Whats going on everyone, I have not been around for a while, nasty divorce and I moved home to Washington state. I gave my rig to the xwife ( dont ask ) so I need to build a new one. I have not had a lot of time to look at whats hot. So this is what I am looking for it to do, games, music, movies. I would like to keep cost around $800.00 or less, but be able to upgrade. Air cooling this time. I need the entire box. So what do you think?

Thanks

u prefer intel amd ati nvidia.currently Ati 5850($270)very nice card and intel i5($200) r new and fast, but Ati 5770($160) and Amd Phenom2 945 95w($165)would be a likely choice for the budget

Here's my build for you man. This rig will be crossfire ready, so when one 5770 no longer cuts it, adding another will be completely hassle-free. All great quality stuff here, and it'll have a cool red/black theme going on.

Phenom II x4 955 - $180
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103674

GIGABYTE GA-MA790X-UD4P - $110
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128387

CM Storm Scout - $90
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-196-_-Product
Great case, I have it's brother.

G.Skill Ripjaws 4GB (2x 2GB) DDR3 1600MHz - $86
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-277-_-Product

HIS 5770 1GB & Corsair TX750W combo - $240
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...t=Combo.275104
The 5770 will be great for what you do, and even better if you ever go crossfire. The TX750W is a monster, incredible price.

Sony Optiarc 24x DVD Burner - $32
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-030-_-Product

WD 640AALS - $75
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-319-_-Product
Great drive, I have 2 myself, very fast.

All that adds up to $801.56 shipped.

I'm fairly certain the DDR3 will work with that mobo, I know it says "DDR2 1333 OC" as the standard but I looked it up and someone said they were using 4GB of Corsair DDR3 on it without any problems, so yeah. I would have put in 4GB DDR2, but it's even more expensive than the DDR3 now. If it won't work, then I guess try to pick up some ram on the forums.

The 940 would work, but you can get the newer and faster 955 for only $10 more. With the 965, you're paying $35 more for .2GHz. If you're just dying for that tiny increase you could just OC up using the stock heatsink, but I doubt you'd notice a bit of improvement, no need on earth to spend that much more for such a small increase.

soylent joe picked a 5770 which is the 5750 big brother in the 57xx.

The coolermaster 690 is a good case to choose.

I have it down to 2 choices:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811129021

or

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811146047

This is what I am thinking so far:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103674
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817341018

Just not sure on the rest yet.
