Thats a decent board, I had one for a while, IMO P45 is the way to go, one of my neighbours had this board if you want to save yourself a few $, he found it rock solid stable, overclocked pretty well and was excellent value for money, TBH you cant go wrong with either for the price.................

I have the PE53 which is a great board, and with the price of DDR3 as it is, I wouldn't even bother with DDR2 now, unless it's an offer you can't refuse. Oh and moocow, it's allowed not aloud.

You might want to check the For Sale sub-forum, never know what you might find.

Lol missed the crossfire but the pro should be only 8 x 8 in Crossy, well thats the P45 chipset specs although that will make little difference.

just to put couple pennies in the mix here. I see you build plans consist of none of the major components of the new planned rig. Why stay in 775 anyways, have you looked at i5? I got ram board and chip for under $500. I'd imagine a Q9xxx mobo and ram are gonna run you at least $400.

If you want to stay with 775, which I can not recommend due to the price of 1156 (i5) and AM3 (Athlon II/Phenom II), the GA-EP45T-UD3P would be a good option.

sorry for the lack of responses i got slammed at work, the reason why im not considering the i5 upgrade is because the actualy performance gain i will see real time is very minimal compared to a good OC'd Dual core. looking at some of the FPS scores of various games the i5 is hardly an upgrade i would rather wait it out with my 775 board another year or so seeing as how my processor hasn't choked or bottle necked on me yet. with the lack of multi-threading in most gaming applications going from my e8400 wich easily reaches 3.9 ghz to a i5 which is approx 3.0 id take the dual core speed over extra i5 cores. may even just stay with me e8400 im not really sure yet to be honest.

i know for sure id like to crossfire 4890 cards and run the ddr3 ram, with my new win 7 OS.

im from the US

i just checked the PSU calculator looks like my 600w will still be plenty with dd3 my new case, another GPU, extra fans etc. only calculating approx 400w
