I bought this card as a replacement for my dying XFi Fatal1ty Titanium Pro but I never used it. Its been tested twice in my pc but its been in its box collecting dust for the better part of a year. therefor this card is sold as new - comes with all original cables n discs

So how would the soundcard compare to a PCI Audigy 2 ZS? I am using the headphone output hooked up to a valve preamp/amp set. It's a pretty good hifi but I'm not sure I would notice a difference changing the sound card. What do you folks think?

well - Since the Audigy ZS Is like god knows how many years old - Xonars sound quite good after a little tweaking - better opamps n shit like that. - just make sure your system has a PCI-E 1x or 4x or a spare PCI-E slot.

when i jumped from a Titanium Fatal1ty pro i could hear the difference straight away with both cards. (the other card being my current STX)

How much would better op amps cost though? Have you got them on your card?

depends - some opamps can cost almost £5-10 each depending what your after, some opamps are hard to source in the UK and that drives the price up a little. and no - I havent touched the Xonar - its just sold as is
