ok.... here it is.. nothing special about it, but just wanted to post up and share with everyone for what i got to with the parts i have.maybe it can go higher if this was OC by a intel Expert.

I know my CPU is very low for overclock but some how i just cant get pass 1300mhz and inorder to run 1300mhz FSB i have to raise the Vcore + 0.2000 imo with 100mhz more is not worth it, so i stayed as 1280fsb anything beyong 1300 FSB i will freeze in window or not booting up.

I tried raise the NB voltage more but if i set voltage anything higher then 1.40volt my PC wont boot up and i have to clear Cmos to reset the bios.

as for memory so far thats the highest timming i got to. i might try to tight the timming more if i got more time. but this is the best i got so far.

i have the latest bio update from Foxconn for the mobo i got, and i seen people getting way higher clock then what i have. im not sure why is the voltage wont go over 1.4volt i might have to contact the support to find out why...

Settings i use are
CPU memory FSB ratio i set to manual and put in my own speed.

Vanderpool technology disable
C1E disable
Speedstep disable
Nvidia linkboost disable
hyper transport i left it at Default valune of 400 with 8 and 8
SLI memory feature i set it to expert.

if you guys got any other suggestions please let me know I would love to get my CPU higher then 2.88ghz speed.

A Corsair XMS Airflow from Newegg.com not only cooled my OC'd RAM VERY sufficiently, but cooled my NB very well!!! At only $20, it's proven worth every penny! You may consider that to help keep your NB cool and possibly attain a better OC or more Stable OC at Lower Voltages like I did! :toast:

I would rather just replace the whole thing. Get some Arctic Cooling MX-1 (MX-1 is not conductive) on it (DO NOT USE ARCTIC SILVER!! IT IS CONDUCTIVE AND THERE ARE A LOT OF CIRCUTS AROUND THE NORTHBRIDGE, IF YOU PUT A LITTLE TOO MUCH ON YOUR MOTHERBOARD IS TOAST)

thanks for the suggestion. if is really the NB overheat that would be really suck. I might just rather get a new board instead since i still can RMA to newegg for refund

ahh i see.. that kind of clears me up. I do notice people who reach high clock result with Q6600 mainly using P35 chip boards...

but then again im going SLI with 2 8800GTS so most likely i will stick with this board then...

i have the latest bio update from foxconn seems not helping much..

just now i was able to lower the NB voltage while staying at same clock speed so far running stable with all the test. but im gonna wait couple more hour to see if i get crash.

I've tried everything dude, I can't get passed 2.9 GHz on my board... Even at 2.9, it crashes in games. =/
