It's a GTX, not even an Ultra...Total rip-off. Never buy from Best Buy.

There are tons of suckers who think Best Buy is the know-all end-all source for all their computing needs. Some rich kid will convince their dad to get it for them, no doubt in my mind.

Best Buy and Circuit City are total rip-offs. They sell mostly mid-range components, and jack the crap out of the prices because the majority of people that go there to buy stuff don't know any better.

Big reason why I personally boycott their business, and why I was so bummed about CompUSA going out of business - Comp was the only store around here that offered mid and hig-end parts at competitive pricing.

Just a couple of examples (which I love to cite):

2GB set of PNY XLR8 DDR2-800 at comp was $150; the same exact kit at BB was $399

a VisionTek HD2900XT at Comp was $399; same exact card on shelf at CC was $499

my point, exactly

I bought my iPod Mini from BestBuy when I was in the states some years ago.. It was a good deal compared to Swedish stores.

Oh yeah! its pretty stupid right there! I got to say! I've used best buy because of rewards... I buy things here and there then I get money back for it.. Some sweet stuff. But for stuff that cost more then $100 dollars, I perfer to go to newegg, or other places like that. Then I know I'm getting a deal, and Not getting some f'd up thing.. Unless your solaris, and your girl buys you a 9600 before its even ability to be sold! Then BB FTW!
But really... BB WTF!?!

Well there are $2379 video-cards on offer too, like this FireGL V8650 2048MB. It's based on the R600 (the same R600 of which those $169 HD2900 Pro cards sell), just that it comes with the FireGL extensions and loads of memory.
