Well, I have driver cleaner doing its work... We'll see..

As for temps with my card... I haven't seen it over 56c yet. I have it with 100% fan speed. I really don't care on the sound...

I"ll play a few games a little later and hit it up... Go to Kursah's unofficial support thread and we'll post it up...

Edit: did the same Pagalms. driver cleaning and then testing myself. thanks man... How was the ride man?

Ride was totally insane, i just can't describe emotions that i got
But something is wrong:

No clocks/fillrate/bandwidth detected. Also huge performance loss in GRID. But i think it's .66's fault, because this is second time when this sht happens. First time was when i flashed my VGA BIOS from Windows with 177.66 on. With older i got no problems with flashing bios, but with .66 everything got fcked up. Only way was to reinstall Windows. And now again
Now it's 1 am and im too tired to think, so i'll try to do something tomorrow.
BTW after .66's my VGA fan is running @ full speed and i can't slow it down (sometimes it slows down and then spins up again) I even flashed max fan speed @ 60% into BIOS, but it didn't helped, so .66's are evil.

Hmm..I find it odd that .66's would be an issue with bios flashing...I'd say go back to a completely stock BIOS, get EVGA Precision/Rivatuner 2.09 and run your fan that way. See if that helps maybe? Sucks you're having those issues...I have had nothing but good results from .66's, on my 260 and my G/F's 9600GT. I have yet to try .70's though, I'm gonna wait to see what Cold Storm has to say!

I've heard it works for other cards, I have yet to try it out on my Palit 9600GT. But it works really well for what it features! I preferr it atm, just for ease of use and simplicity and stability of functions.

Though one thing to note, at least in my experience, I can't get it's OSD to work with x64 games like FarCry and Crysis.

How did you get NBitor working in Vista? I tired a few weeks ago to check out my 9600GT's BIOS and could get the program to open, yet it wouldn't capture the 9600's BIOS lol!

Wonder why your card is running at those clocks...I'd have to point at driver error imo. Maybe a complete clean, sweep of anything NV, and start maybe with an older driver that worked fine before to have a base set for proper function? Then work your way back up to .66's or .70's?

Yes, NiBiTor can't read BIOS directly from card in Vista. That's why i used GPU-Z to read and save bios to file and then edit it with NiBiTor
Tomorrow i'll try to install 177.(older than 66) and skip .66's. I it won't help, then reinstall again :|

Yeah I tried it on my GTX260, and NH 4.2...worked fine. Seems my Core at 3D speeds runs around 1.12v...that's pretty damn low lol! Last bios I edited was the x1950xtx, it ran around 1.3v stock I had it up to about 1.5v Oc'd lol!

Seems it'll go up to 1.18v though...may have to play a little more with this when I decide to OC, hey every little bit helps right?!

Well I started OC-ing...

Have some interesting results, and methods I found to overclocking...I'm sure many of you read that there is limitations when unlinking the GPU/Shader...I may have stumbled upon something, maybe you guys do or don't know...but more to come when I get more results.

Currently my GTX260 is running along at 750GPU, 1520 Shader and 1250 Memory...and it's going very strong...no signs of it throwing in the towel yet...and with 100% fan speed, I haven't seen higher than 62C in a room with about 78F ambeint atm....needles to say I'll report back on more, but holy sh!t!!! This thing is an OC demon!

Sweet man! Nice to see it! Yeah, it shows that if you make sure the Shader is at least 20 points higher then double the GPU then it works right... But so far I have it at 730-1480-1260.... More to come here too.

Nice, I found that linked I was good until about 670-680-ish/1487 (can't quite recall now..I did take some notes though...I will clean them up and post em in my thread and here soon...). So I unlinked, at 1484 (I turned down for some reason or another) I could raise GPU up to about 720-730...then I raised shaders until she froze around 1540...brought back down to 1530...GPU went up to 760...I can try to set higher but again it won't allow it.

I am going to have to try the new 1.3.1 precision tool, I just registered my card for my free Vantage key which is pretty cool of them...I'll try the new precision tool tomorrow...I gotta get my ass to bed soon, but one more run of Vantage is in order first.

Hey, which is the moment when card switches from bootup to 3D/2D clocks?
I'm still stuck with this problem and i know all this BS is software fault (7 Beta detects everything right). Driver reinstall didn't helped and i can't reinstall whole os because dvd drive is dead.

my brothers card (GTX280) stuck in 2D clocks as well, it seems the 200 series cards drop to it to idle sometimes.

I dont know more than that, except that his definately cranked up in 3D games.
