Wow has anyone seen this game coming out in Sept? I'm a huge fan and have been playing these titles for 15 years easily and this looks like once again the real deal. The graphics I'm guessing are the same but the new features of the fans, actions of the goaltenders,GM mode and the list goes on and on. Watch a couple of clips of it and you'll be hooked. I play all my games on the pc so the graphics are never an issue plus the memory. Let me know what you think of it. Too bad they don't have any college basketball for the pc anymore or Madden football for that matter. Wasp

I went from NHL'04 to NHL'09 and the gameplay was so much better. Two things need to change though. Max res on "09 is 1280*1024 and I am getting sick of Craig Simpson and Jim Houston.

Meh, they've been basically cookie cutters since NHL 2000 came out.

EA has really dropped the ball with the NHL series. It's bad enough that a lot of computer programmer nerds have no concept of sports, or competitive sports, but none the less, that's not an excuse anymore. These games should be much better.

2K sports has won for the NHL games, until they pulled out of the PC side of things.

I've also noticed that the PS3/360 versions of the more recent NHL games, are much better looking than the PC version. You get better anti aliasing, naturally, but the overall model shapes and texture levels is extremely poor in the PC version(s).

Seems backwards, but the console just look far more 'hi-res.'

Regardless, I wish they could just get some real hockey action going. Players turn too quickly; they move too fast; the puck speed and momentum doesn't sync with the top of shots you do; not enough player control; lots of features, like goalie control(perspective/pov), practice modes, etc. are missing, the list goes on.

I played real ice hockey for about ten years. And the older games like NHL 92-96 seem to be the best, despite how linear and limited they were.

I really haven't seen too much from the '10 that's going to win me over.
