This game is amazing looking, especially for a console game i can't wait for it to come out

Over 1,000 cars! granted not all of them will have model damage but i think that's fine for the fact that there is so many cars.

And this is pretty much the entire reason I bought my PS3 in the first place. lol. I skipped gt5 prologue tho, as I wasn't paying that much money for what amounts to an incomplete game. If it was $20, I would've bought it.

Yeah i got Prologue for free, its fun for a lil while but only cause the tracks are repetitive.

GT games always push the graphic limits, they just know how to work that sweet magic, I think GT3 still looks as good as most racing titles out there. Can't wait for this, I also skipped prologue and actually skipped 4 as I had beaten 3 5 times. The damage never bothered me though, as I would rather see them add more cars to the game than add damage. Only thing I'm hoping they finally do away with is 10,000 different Skylines and Civics, I would like a nice variety of junk cars to start with, maybe like Fox Bodys and 3rd Gen Fbodys.

Yeah, I posted this a little while ago. And I think its sweet that they are incorporating damage on most of the vehicles.
Release date is sometime around christmas I believe. Could be a couple weeks earlier for everyone in Europe.

GT5 is late late late. It is THE reason to buy a PS3 over the great RROD machine. So many people said they got the PS3 over the X360 for GT5 reason alone. Most other games are cross platform or there are comparable alternatives. GT5 however is a hot cake seller.

I guess is will make THE BUNDLE of xmas 2009. New slim PS3 plus GT5. Nice.

I'm not supportive of more vehicles instead of damage physics. I don't see how one's a suitable trade-off for the other.

However I would like to see more North American based vehicles. I don't see why we should have tons of low end Japanese vehicles, and not the same quality from other manufacturers/countries.

Having said that, I've started to lose interest in the GT series because they've seemed to be rehashing the game play and features, whilst updating the visuals.

Hopefully that will change.

I would have bought a PS3 back in 2007 when it launched in Europe but Gran Turismo wasn't out so I bought a 360 and Forza 2, and now 2 years later Forza 3 is almost out and still no Gran Turismo, c'mon Polyphony hurry up, taking long enough.

Not too keen on the whole WRC and NASCAR additions if the physics/handling are the same, i.e I wouldn't want DiRT 2 to handle like Forza 3. I wonder will the WRC and NASCAR modes handle different to the rest of the game.

I wonder if polyphony digital realizes they would sell 4-5 times more copies if it were multiplatformed. . . either they have some sort of deal with sony, or they have a really shitty business department full of chimpanzees...

No no no Gt to stay Sony if it went multiplatformed along with mgs and lbp you might as well just give up on em. The PS3 needs exclusive titles without them ppl will most likely not buy it. The ppl in this thread that said they bought the ps3 for this title prooves that imho.

True triprift, but my topic was not about sony's failure, it was a topic about PD's success. I could care less that the rest of the world paid $1000 for this game, I just wish I could pay $50 to play it on the computer. You know what? scratch that, I would pay up to $150 for it. PDs loss i guess.

GT games have hand rally since the 2nd one, they weren't the best then, but 3 and 4 had pretty decent rally additions.

It's an exclusive, just like Microsoft has theirs, any of these companys could make more by going multiplatform, but I'm sure there is money involved to keep them that way so people will keep that in mind when buying their systems.

From the car list's I've seen there are ALOT of North American cars in the game.

this game is the reason I bought my original ps3 and part of the reason I sold it, I got tired of waiting, but with the FFX and Versus about to come out and some other good rpgs for ps3 im gonna have to get one soon

$300 is a killer deal for the slim or the 80GB, this is where Microsoft is going to have to think up something quick as Sony just cut their manufacturing costs and released a very competitive priced console with more features.
