Just in case you havent heard yet Bethesda and id Software have teamed up to bring us "Brink". A class-based shooter based off of Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory style gameplay.

Brink Media Blowout: Three New Gameplay Videos
To help ease the sting of the game's recent delay, Bethesda has put out a few new gameplay videos from Splash Damage's Brink, providing a three-part walkthrough of the title's various gameplay mechanics and Container City area.

Now slated for fall 2010, the latest class-based shooter from the Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory and Enemy Territory: Quake Wars vets is coming to PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

A non-RPG coming from Bethesda? Sweet, hopefully it will meet up to TF2 standards of class-based gameplay (referring to TF2's balance and shallow learning curve).

Edit: I saw the dude gaining XP in the video. :shadedshu I can never get into games with leveling and such.

Based on past experiences with their games, I doubt the levelling is actually required to go on in the game.

Thats exactly what I saw them claim somewhere recently. The game does look awesome. I know that this will be a day one purchase for me. Is there a scheduled release date for Brink?

Why would id, masters of their craft, team up with Bethesda who has not made one single game that I liked? Fail.

I'm not too sure that "team" is the right term. Anyways I love Bethsoft. They make some great games, imo. Just look at how moddable their games are. Then listen to what Carmack said about dedicated servers and not using a mouse and keyboard at all during the development of Rage. Face it ID isn't the same company that they were 5 or so years ago. What have they done since RTCW? DOOM 3 :laugh:

But as to the SMART thing, basically Assassins Creed was the first for me to play with freedom of movement. EG. Climb, jump,etc. No sliding tho.

What?!?!? Bethsoft made 2 of my most Fav. games Oblivion and Fallout 3, some of us agree here.

I just thought that Doom 3 was stale, I agree that the engine was amazing. All of ID's games before it were great, though.

I love Bethsoft Morrowind, Oblivion, and Fallout 3 are amazing. Mostly because they are just so moddable.
