[WTB][US] AGP Video Card

I'm looking for an AGP video card.... looking to spend $35 total. I had two 6600GT cards that have both been killed over the years. One died when dust in the gf's family computer built up around the card's fan and stopped it, the other one is just a mystery.

Edit: Would like the card to have 256MB and needs a DVI connector.

Are you looking for something comparable to (if not better than) a 6600GT? Or will low end stuff like a 6200AGP work?

I'd like to keep it close to the 6600GT level. I forgot to add, would like at least 256MB and it needs a DVI connector.

I have a PNY Verto 6800 that has the DVI, Svideo, and Dsub, but it is the 128mb card.

Im 99% sure I will have a 6200 in my possession within the week. Not sure if it is a 256 or a 128. Ill post it up once I get it unless you are not interested at all in that low end of a card.

I have the over clocked version of the X800XT PE and the X850XT PE...not sure i would see them go for $35 tho...Actually may have plans for them.

I have a pny nvidia 6200 256mb card has been overclocked to 450 core clock and 640 mem clock has worked great and stable. Dont know if i would let it go for 35 bucks .

I was able to find a 6800GT for $33 shipped off craigslist. The asshole didn't tell me it was broken; the computer wouldn't POST. The joke is on him though, I able to resurrect it and it's working flawlessly now.

ive got an x800 pro agp with one of the arctic cooler thingy's that look like the iceberg cooler on it, I can let it go for 35 shipped

I thought that's how you might have done it. Alot of people have been having good luck with that trick. Wish I would have known about it before I ditched my X1950XT .... :shadedshu

Damn... that's a good price. Those cards rock and can be unlocked to allow all pipelines opened!

Well this 6800GT has all 16 pipelines available already. I can get 430 core / 1050 mem so far, I haven't tried any volt mods and doubt I will on this old tech. Now I wish I would have tried the oven trick on the two 6600GT cards I had before I threw them out in the trash. :rolleyes:

I am assuming you have to pull the cooler off before attempting this? I would think on the newer cards that have plastic tops on the coolers, it would melt the plastic lol.

yup... remove everything but bare card and cook for about 10 - 12 minutes. Seems to do the trick "Most" of the time and if the card is an older card and is dead, why not give it a shot. Sucks I found out about it after I tossed my X1950XT in the trash.............................
