Cooler Master has launched a new fan measuring 120mm, called Excalibur. The fan has a different design and uses Barometric Ball Bearing. By keeping a pressure inside the bearings they can lower the level of noise and improve reliability.

The company claims Excalibur is the first BBB fan on the market and with detachable fan blades with sword-like designs (thus the name), the fan will offer high air pressure. Perfect for when the fan is attached to heatsinks or radiators....

That looks cool, easier for cleaning imo. And it looks nicer than the r4 fans which look bland.

I remember this from somewhere, possibly the news section. Aren't they like over $20 a pop?

@ $20 they can gladly keep em! Better to look at tho, compared to some pretty good fans which look meh.

so do the holes in the side alow for air to come in, or did they add them to allow air to flow out to keep noise down?

Interesting take on that, @ first I thought it was just for the good looks, since CM usually uses the bee hive style (like in their cases and such) which looks rather cool imo.

My take was thats what they want you to think, in reality I bet it blows air out those holes and not through the back. I hope its the other way around, but from what I do know, it "should" push air out those holes.

Oh if it was for design, to me it looks like it would make a better addition to a 900 chassis:roll:

;) I guess we'll have to wait for a review, cause we don't see the fan's position when its locked in position, but like you said, guessing its position makes me think it will rather blow air out of em. I would be inclined to think that it would probably make some noise...

that review says what its designed for, but never continues with a follow up on if he even felt around the fan:(

The mention that they are loud makes me not want them in general.

Hey there is a review up and its slightly NSFW. Funny CM, always thinking about weird things like models discussing their products. Hello Sahar:respect:!

The review is at CMHD.TV but it loads really slow because its 1080p. Once I changed it to 360 it blows.
